Expand Initiative PowerThe Honolulu City Charter allows the power of initiative but forbids the use of that power to change taxes. League has submitted a proposal to the City Charter Commission amending Section 3-401-2, Limitation of Initiative Power in the City Charter. The proposal recommends removing that restriction on initiative power. The proposal is at the top of agenda of the City Charter Commission meeting on Tuesday, January 24 at 2 pm in Honolulu Hale (specific room to be announced). Please support the proposal with letters to City Charter Commission and newspapers. Charles Carole
