Planning Meeting on Dec. 17

How do you feel about the much-discussed plan to develop Kakaako makai? Our planning meeting on Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Hale Koa Hotel will feature a full-on presentation of the plan, followed by a chance to voice your opinions and a vote on whether the League will support the plan.
The hotel has limited our attendance to 36, including the guest speaker. Previous planning meetings have attracted as many as 50 members, so dont delay. Mail in the reservation slip below right away with your check for $18. Parking is available across the street for $2 with validation. If you need special arrangements, call the office at 531-7448.
The meeting schedule:
9 am - registration and coffee
9:30 am Planning meeting starts
11:30 am - break
Noon soup, sandwich and salad buffet
12:30 speaker Stanley M. Kuriyama, vice chairman and CEO of A & B Properties, Inc.
2:00 pm membership meeting to decide Leagues position on the plan
2:30 pm meeting adjourns

A team from A & B Properties presented their plan to the Planning & Transportation committee in October. A committee member says he walked into the meeting opposed to the development but left a supporter.
