A CALL TO LEAGUE MEMBERSDwayne Yoshina, State of Hawaii Elections Officer, spoke to the League's Voter Service Committee on June 15. He desperately needs people to work at the polls. League members are solicited to sign up through the State Office of Elections to work on primary and general election days. Call the State office, 453-8683, or contact website (www.hawaii.gov/elections) to sign up. A one-time training session will be required prior to the primary. Several training sites are already designated around Oahu for worker convenience. Workers will be provided a stipend. Other volunteer positions may be available on election day. The State office will have further details. This is LEAGUE VOTER SERVICE TO THE MAX!!! |
