Voter Service Committee Begins ProjectsThe Voter Service Committee members Jean Aoki, Grace Furukawa, Malia Schwartz, Linda Lame, Dorothy Cornell, Laure Dillon, Virginia Fine, and Nikki Love have been meeting regularly since December to define goals and plan potential projects to inform voters and improve voter turnout. The Committee launches its activities with voter registration at a large event at Lanikai Elementary School on May 11th. LWV will staff a booth in order to provide parents and community members with the opportunity to register to vote for the 2002 elections. The Voter Service Committee meets monthly (usually Saturday mornings), and will be carrying out a variety of projects to increase registration and participation by citizens throughout Honolulu.
