December Meeting"Holiday Luncheon"December 2
Featuring Keynote Speaker- Bob Rees The Shape of Things to Come:
Program Planning The program planning meeting on December 2 is the time League decides on a guideline for planning for the coming year. Where are we heading - if anywhere. This is the time members voice their concerns on issues that interest them whether local, state or national. These concerns may evolve into adopting a study of an issue prominent in the community on which League doesn't have a position, or it might concern action on the part of League rather than a study. As a true grassroots organization, program planning for League begins with member interest. We encourage all members to attend this important meeting and take part in the direction of League as an advocate of an issue for study or an action League should initiate or as a member who can voice a "yea" or "nay" on any activity. There are only two regularly scheduled meetings annually for League: 1) the Annual meeting in April when we vote in the leadership of the League and adopt the League's program for the year, and 2) the program planning meeting in December when the membership proposes plans for League for the coming year that the Board considers and recommends or not for membership approval at the annual meeting. Arlene Kim Ellis At the December 2 League meeting we will discuss what we want the League to do next year. President Pearl Johnson says, "Bring your ideas. I promise you won't be required to do the work if you advocate for an item. Let's talk about all types of activities." Our menu for that day will feature: Wild Rice and Mushroom Soup
