Saunders Biography EventA SPECIAL EVENT to honor the publication of a biography of Allen Saunders and Marion will be held during the week of May 8th. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), with the League of Women Voters as co-sponsors will feature the book "Allan Saunders, the Man and his Legacy" edited by Mary Anne Raywid and Esther Arinaga. There will be an ACLU mainland speaker, Susan Herman, and a local speaker, Evan Shirley. The event will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2000 from 5-7 PM at the East-West Center, Iman Hall. Light refreshments will be served. This is going to be a very exciting event and we urge as many League members as possible to attend.
