Primary Urban Development PlanThe City Department of Planning and Permitting is still pondering revisions to the City administration's Primary Urban Center Development Plan. There have been no further public meetings on this issue since the round over the Thanksgiving holiday. At these meetings and in supporting commentary documents, the community's reaction to major portions of the proposed development plan was one of overwhelming opposition. Since that time, the Department of Planning and Permitting has been taking a "long, objective look at refining and modifying the plan based on on-site observations and technical analysis for major concepts in the plan." We believe that the City administration should have considered performing such due diligence PRIOR to distributing such proposed redevelopment overkill for the Primary Urban Center. Michelle Matson |
